About Madea
Full name of Madea is Mabel “Madea” Simmons. The character is created by Tyler Perry and it is played by Tyler Perry, Shedrick Garrett, Lewis Thompson. Madea is a tough elderly black woman.

Madea was born in Greensburg, Louisiana, on June 26, 1935. In her first play she was 68. Her first play was “I Can Do Bad All by Myself”. Madea was brought up in poverty and grew up living in shacks with her immediate family. Madea has stated that although her family didn’t have much, they had love.

In the films, it has been revealed that Madea used to be a stripper, and her stage names were Magnitude and Delicious. It is heavily implied that she was a prostitute as well. Madea was married with Johnny Simmons and had 4 children:

Madea is mostly known for her crimes and evil thoughts. She has a lifelong criminal record that began at age 9 with a charge of petty theft. It is also reported that Medea was charged with her first felony at this age, and her crimes began progressing to illegal gambling at age 18, which later evolved into check fraud, identity theft, insurance fraud.

It is 107 minutes movie which is drama-comedy thing. But there are some violence and abusive comedy in the movie. The budget of this film was just $6 million, and it grossed more than $63 million. The movie is based upon Tyler Perry’s acclaimed stage production, Madea’s Family Reunion continues the adventures of southern matriarch Madea begun in the hit film Diary of a Mad Black Woman.

If you are a Madea fan you will enjoy your 103 minutes. Tyler Perry also played the role of Brian Simmons, and Uncle Joe Simmons in this movie. Cassi Davis played the supporting roll of Betty Ann “Aunt Bam” Murphy and Patrice Lovely played the role of Hattie Mae Love.
